OVERVIEW

PowerBall is an American lottery game. It's responsible for the largest jackpot in history, which was $1.6 Billion on January 13th 2016. The minimum jackpot is $40 Million, and frequently reaches several hundred million dollars, making it one of the biggest lotteries in the world.

DRAW TIMES

The PowerBall draw takes place every Wednesday and Saturday night in the US at 10:59 pm Eastern Standard Time.  The time in the UK when this happens is 3:59 am (GMT) on Thursday and Sunday.

HOW THE GAME WORKS

There are two sets of balls drawn in the powerball. Five balls are drawn from the first set of white balls which contains 69 balls numbered 1 to 69. One ball is then drawn from the second set (called the powerball) which contains 26 balls numbered from 1 to 26. To win the jackpot, your ticket must match all 5 white balls and the red powerball.
